Welcome to Canada
I have traveled to many places, but I can’t believe I have never visited any cities in Canada, until recently. My family and I spent some time in Montreal and Ottawa. I was so impressed by the design of their buildings. Great artwork!
A walk in downtown Ottawa, proves once again the architectural richness of the city with the parliament building, under construction and the rest of all other buildings along Wellington St, not to mention their riverfront. Our visit coincided with the preparation of the Canada Day and the North America Leaders Summit, an annual meeting between the prime minister of Canada and the presidents of the United States and Mexico.
The trip has also allowed me to conduct business meetings and visited with friends and family; I have not seen for a very long time.
Overall, it was a great trip, but if there a couple of things I need to remind people before traveling to a foreign country: (1) Call your bank and credit card companies, so they are aware of your travel schedules (2) Make sure you have the country currencies.
We didn’t do any of those and almost got stuck with a restaurant bill. But we had a backup card. It was a learning experience.
